Pieces of Me that I Stole

There’s a place in my mind
Where I keep you inside
And whisper my failures
And shames.
There’s a cage just for you
Where you’re safe from the truth
That my victories bring
Greater pain.
There are choices I see
That will condemn me.
No one can save me
From time.
And all that I am
Still can’t begin
Until you
Realize.

Don’t Go Home

Self-righteous and scared
And so unprepared.
I’m starting to see your decline.
There’s no one alive
Who cares if you die.
You hate that you know that I’m right.
It’s so arabesque
The lines in duress.
Pull out one strand, let them all fall.
There’s no where to hide.
You know that it’s time
To give up the creature you are.

Burn Me Down

You’re all so empty
You’re an asset of disease
You all just fester
In the sores of rhapsody
I can’t describe you
Without vomiting on the stairs Continue reading

We’ll Always Have Goodbye

We know that all together
We’re made to fade away.
No one ever lived a life
That they didn’t have to leave.
I’m coming home to hold you
And tell you how I died.
And everyday you’ll do the same
So we’ll always have goodbye.

An Old Dream, New Again

I dreamed last night, a dream I haven’t had in well over a decade. It was a dream I had in childhood; many nights, over many years. It was starkly new, yet fathomlessly old, it struck me as if I were a child. It reminded me of a time, when I felt things were pure and right. I blinked in darkness, not alone. I found a familiar friend. We were young again and in an old house that I had lived long ago. Continue reading

would it slow your breath

would it slow your breath to hear they lied?
they only came to watch you die.
and as the lightning splits the sky
You soul is their canopy of life.

I Share Your Casket

I once prayed
For silence as I died.
I once prayed
To share your hell tonight.
As we wait
For our saphire plight.
In the shade
Of apocryphal decline. Continue reading

When I Saw the Devil

When I saw the devil, his legs were wrapped in chains
Rats gnawed at his feet, as he shuffled upon a cane.
Hands twisted like branches
Clearly broken long ago
Then hung out for the fates
To heal into stone. Continue reading

Like Memories in Wine

I look down to the valley
To see where I belong.
There’s nothing there but charletons,
Wickedness, and scum.
I try to find a reason
To make myself breath,
But all I feel is emptiness
From an eternity of greed. Continue reading

Martyr of Mine

You’re alone now
Like you never were before.
All the world still stares at you
But you don’t look back anymore.
You rest your hands in motion
Through the failures of your life
And the world just keeps on adding to
Your sorrows with its fire.
